Membership in the Lone Pine Ag Society

As a registered Agricultural Society in Alberta, the Lone Pine Ag Society is required to hold an Annual General Meeting to report yearly actions and achievements to the general membership. Membership fees of $2.00 per person may be renewed at the meeting. Anyone wishing to be involved with the Society Board may also volunteer or be nominated at the meeting.

We are always looking for new members to join our Board and participate in our great little community. E-mail us at lonepineagsociety@gmail.com if you would like more information.

In order to maintain our Agricultural Society status and continue to receive annual funding of $22,000, we require a board of 12 volunteers. Board meetings are held monthly.

Duties include organizing and helping to present events, running the Society's business, and helping to maintain the Hall. Most members find the social interaction of serving their community to be a rewarding and enriching experience. It's also a great opportunity to meet new friends and neighbours.

If you would like to come onto the Board, contact us at 403-335-4934 for more information.

JC McCulloch Award
Each year since 1985 the Lone Pine Ag Society has honoured a local citizen for dedicated service to the rural community with the JC McCulloch Award. Named for an early local resident, the award recognizes significant social, cultural or economic activities that have contributed to the general good in the county area. Nominations for each year's JC McCulloch Award are to be forwarded to the Lone Pine Ag Society in December.
