The Lone Pine Agricultural Society will award one scholarship in the amount of $500 to an eligible student for full-time study at a qualifying Canadian college or university. Eligibility Requirements: Any student who has lived in the surrounding community of the Lone Pine Hall is eligible to apply for the scholarship provided they have received a valid high school diploma or will be eligible to receive a diploma during the year of application.

Applications: In order to be considered for this scholarship, applications must be received by May 31. All scholarship applications must be accompanied by:

  1. An official transcript of final results of all High School courses to date.
  2. An essay of 500 words or less. Be sure to describe your achievements including academic, artistic and athletic, community involvement, leadership and education goals.
  3. A letter of reference from school principal, teacher or community leader.

Selection Process: The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of a number of factors that may include academic, community involvement, leadership displayed and future education goals. Candidates may only receive the award once. A selection committee comprised of the Lone Pine Agricultural Society Board members will determine the successful candidate.

Application materials will not be returned to the applicants. The recipient of the award must agree to have their name and photograph published. The scholarship will be awarded to the recipient in the month of June and will be contacted by phone.
